Lockall raises 155 million euros to accelerate the development of its 2.0 storage solutions in Ile-de-France

Founded in 2020 and specializing in storage solutions for individuals and professionals, Lockall has just announced that it has raised 155 million euros from a subsidiary of the American fund Starwood Capital Group. With five sites in activity and the opening of four new ones to come, Lockall intends to accelerate its development to establish itself among the leaders of the sector in Ile-de-France.

LOCKALL AIMS FOR FIFTEEN SITES BY 2026

This major fundraising for the “ self-storage » offers Lockall an investment capacity that matches its ambitions, explains Alexis de l’Épine, Co-founder of the start-up: “It’s a real accelerator. This new financial contribution demonstrates the relevance of our storage solutions and opens up new prospects for us to set up in Ile-de-France. We would like to thank our new lender Starwood Capital Group and our historic shareholders Metric Capital Partners and Somurco for their trust.”


The announcement of this fundraising of 155 million euros will now allow the Ile-de-France group to increase its portfolio of assets to achieve its objective: reaching fifteen sites by 2026.


For its part, the subsidiary of the American fund of Starwood Capital Group chose to support Lockall since it fully believes in the uniqueness of its model, as demonstrated by the Group's Vice-President, Will Lawler: “We are delighted to support Lockall in its growth strategy in the very attractive Paris region market. Lockall’s activity is based on a unique model. On the one hand, the group develops storage solutions intended for both individuals and professionals.

These spaces are all located in prime locations, right in the heart of very densely populated areas such as in the 8th And 13th districts of Paris or even Suresnes in Hauts-de-Seine, at the gates of the capital.


Within its sites, Lockall also deploys BtoB offers through a network of Maisons des Artisans. These spaces are specially designed to meet the flexibility and flexibility needs of craftsmen and entrepreneurs.

Each Lockall Craftsmen's House houses storage spaces, individual and shared workspaces, private workshops and offices to support the development of artisans, VSEs and SMEs. A concept that offers professionals the possibility of accessing all the services they need on a daily basis while generating synergies between their different activities.


The Maisons des Artisans de Lockall all take place on old, completely rehabilitated wastelands located in the inner and outer suburbs (as in Lognes in Seine-et-Marne, Poissy in Yvelines and soon in Argenteuil in Val-d’Oise and Vélizy-Villacoublay in Yvelines). Two other sites will be revealed by the end of the year.

Founded in 2020, Lockall is developing a storage solution in Île-de-France for professionals and individuals.
